Deborah Bennett and Rachel Bryan from MTC have been nominated for awards in this year’s National Probation Awards. The Awards recognise individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to change people’s lives.
Deborah, a Senior Attendance Centre Officer in Charge with London Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) has been shortlisted for a Public Safety Award, recognising the work she’s done to encourage sentencers to see Senior Attendance Centres as a credible alternative to custody.
Rachel, a Probation Officer from Thames Valley CRC has been shortlisted for a Partnership Working Award. She was nominated for the collaborative approach she takes to meeting the complex needs of women service users.
A third candidate, Sarah Viner, was nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Sarah is a Senior Probation Officer from London CRC. While not shortlisted, the nomination recognised her quality probation work, achieving high levels of service user engagement and positive outcomes across 30+ years. This was a very competitive category, and Sarah’s achievement in being nominated is to be celebrated.
